 sometimes you have to go back to your old, old favorites. one of mine is quentin blake. i am so glad that quentin and roald found each other, aren't you? blake's billowing, outside-the-lines illustrations are so well-suited to the imagination of roald dahl. one of my favorite illustrations used to be from the twits, a picture of mr. twit's beard and all the kinds of things that got caught in it....

happy 2011 to you all—winter seems to be back with a vengeance, so now i can settle in and enjoy it. teehee.
